Guest Information – The Essentials

Access to your room:

Your room key also opens the main front door.

Breakfast:

8.00am to 10.00am. If you require a morning paper or need to leave early, please let us know the night before.

Lunch/Dinner:

Packed lunches are available if ordered before 6.00pm on the previous evening.

Dinner is available subject to prior arrangement. Please ask for details.

Drinks:

Creeting House has a premises license to serve alcohol, and we are happy to provide drinks for guest house residents. Let us know your requirements.

Smoking:

You are welcome to smoke in the designated areas of the grounds but Creeting House has a no smoking policy.

The Gardens and Grounds:

You are welcome to explore the gardens and fields beyond the pond, however, please walk around the fields rather than crossing them as the grass is gown for cattle feed. The pond is at times quite deep and there are bee hives in the fields so, for safety sake, please do not let children have access to the gardens without supervision. There is a tree preservation order in place at Creeting House; if you would like details of the old specimen trees, please ask Diana.

Parking:

Parking on Creeting House’s grounds is at the car owner’s risk.

Equipment:

Your TV has a DVD player included and you can access FreeView and radio stations.

Creeting house is wired for WiFi access, so you should have no problems connecting to the Internet and the world beyond Suffolk.

You will find a fan and hairdryer in your room. If you require more blankets or pillows, just let us know. If you require an alarm clock or a morning alarm call, please advise us the night before.

Tea/coffee making facilities are provided in all bedrooms. Please be careful not to overfill the kettle or to switch it on when there is no water in it. The water from the bathroom is fine for the kettle but is from the water tank – you will find mains water for drinking in the jug in your room and fresh milk in the silver thermos.

Laundry:

There is no laundry service available at the house. A trouser press, an ironing board and an iron can be provided on request.

GP Surgery:

The local surgery at the Needham Market Country Practice (& chemist), is in Barking Road in Needham and is open daily during the week and on Saturday mornings by appointment. Call 01449 720 666. If you need an ambulance or need to contact the police for an urgent matter, please dial the UK emergency number, 999. The nearest A & E Hospital unit is Ipswich Hospital.

Check Out Times:

May we kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11.00am on the day of departure. Please remember to leave your room key and TV control when you depart. As the Masterlock keys are so expensive, we reserve the right to charge you the sum of £14.80 for lost keys.
